Hello!
I'm Lauren, a current third year Graphic Design student at Virginia Tech. I am from a small rural town in Harford County, Maryland where my love for art began. As a child, I was an avid lover of art class and through my high school art classes, I knew I wanted to pursue art as a career.
As a member of Gen Z and growing up in the age of technology, digital art particularly fascinated me because it combines art and technology.
Through my courses and experience at VT I have developed greatly as an artist, continually discovering my personal style and inspirations. I especially enjoy music, film, and nature related design, specifically posters, album covers, etc.
When I'm not designing you can find me enjoying nature and the outdoors through my side hobby as an outdoor guide. I take students and others in the community on outdoor excursions including backpacking, canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, and high ropes courses. I find peace through outdoor recreation and find much of my artistic inspiration from it.
